Istanbul (not Constantinople) is a city of rich history dating far beyond the time line of the common era. It has shared its occupancy with pagans, the Romans, the Ottomans and finally its own independent rule. To celebrate the long story of one of history’s greatest cities, a group of artists have created a work of urban projection art on an old Istanbul landmark. The Yekpare Istanbul Urban Screening Project was shown on the Haydarpaşa Train Station, showcasing a symbolic tale of this city’s story. The video above shows the projection in its entirety, and the gallery below captures its highlights. [nerdworking via yatzer] View in gallery View in gallery View in gallery
