This Fantuzzi-designed 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Spider is powered by a 300hp V-12 engine, providing more power than its comparatively compact body could require. It’s designed to be an open-cockpit two-seater, built for show and the pro-am circuit alike. It’s still doing a bit of the latter, as this Spider won first place in the XXIII Cavallino Classic in 2014 for cars in its class. Perhaps the most remarkable factor of this 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Spider is its present condition. Its engine was rebuilt from the ground up in the late 1990s, and its body has been maintained in line with its original inspiration. In a sense, you’re seeing this Ferrari in the same condition it was in when it rolled out of the Carrozzeria Fantuzzi shop nearly 50 years ago. It is one of the finest Ferraris produced in the 1960s, a rare bird in the world of convertible classics from everyone’s favorite Italian brand.
