For over two years, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) has been orbiting that tiny red planet many million miles away from Earth. Using it’s HiRISE Camera system (or High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment), the MRO has captured breathtaking images of the Martian landscape. These photos are truly otherwordly, providing a glimpse into the surface nature of the great red rock of Mars.
